Milan Hosts Scientology Volunteer Ministers’ Yellow Tent for Community Support

MILAN — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have set up their iconic yellow tent to Milan, offering a street-level point for practical help and listening support, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to common challenges. Previously deployed in cities including New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn simple steps for handling stress, improving communication and resolving conflicts, as well as support after personal emergencies.

Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory courses covering communication, study and learning methods, interpersonal relations and problem-solving. The approach is personal and practical: understand what the person faces and provide an actionable technique.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquakes, and have also assisted during flooding in the Marche region (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help clear homes and public spaces.

In Milan, activity expanded during the pandemic period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with community care work, including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipal areas of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as sending essential goods to Ukraine.
